Artist Statement Project 2

When I started this project I was a bit scared because I have never used this app before. However when doing it I realized that once you got the hang of it it all came together. When I brainstormed my ideas I had no clue what I was getting into; regarding the ways the app works and how certain sounds sound different in my head compared to being videotaped. I recorded sounds and they didn't exactly sound how I wanted them to so I moved away from them and started to find better sounds that could make my “song” sound better. I think that doing the brainstorm was a good place for me to explore trial and error before moving forward in the project. I thought one of my strong suits with this project was picking the sounds. I found this part of the project extremely fun. Listening to everyone's different sounds and picking certain ones was really interesting considering what other people hear on a daily basis compared to what I hear. One of my difficulties using the app was blending the sounds together. I Tired and tried to figure out how I would do it but it just didn't sound well. I think for the next project when I use this app I will be reaching out for a bit of help to try to make my animation sound good. When using apps like this for the first time are differently scary but does have a good outcome once you get the hang of it. I am really excited to use this app with future projects.
